Dave Martinelli has been involved in agriculture his whole life. He grew up on a small dairy ranch in Sonoma County and worked on row crop and vineyard operations during his college years. Prior to joining Petaluma Poultry, Dave was with the Farm Credit System for ten years. He has been with Petaluma Poultry since 1994, heading the company’s finance and administration functions, most recently as CFO.

Martinelli introduced sustainability at Petaluma Poultry as an integral part of the management focus in 2001 and has been actively involved in the company’s Sustainability Management System implementation since then. Dave was recently named Vice President – Finance and Risk Management for Coleman Natural Foods, the parent of Petaluma Poultry. In this role, one of his goals is to expand his dedication to sustainability by implementing similar programs within the other divisions of the company.

Dave Martinelli is currently an Alternate Member of the California Organic Standards Advisory Committee and serves on several local non-profit boards. In his spare time, Dave operates Tolay Vista Vineyards, a sustainably farmed Chardonnay vineyard on the family ranch in the Sonoma Coast appellation.
