Michael Stusser

Michael Stusser attended UC Santa Cruz in the '60s where he studied with master horticulturist Alan Chadwick. For the following 10 years he helped found three garden training centers still in operation today including Camp Joy Gardens in Boulder Creek, the Farallones institute in Occidental, (now OAEC) and the Agroecology program at UC Santa Cruz. Following studies in Japan he created Osmosis, a day spa featuring a detoxifying compost bath. Recently he has begun the Green Spa Network dedicated to bring sustainable design and operating practices to the spa industry and to promote the natural connections between personal well being, economic sustainability and the health of the planet.
